Nearly

It was a dull day yesterday. I watched a movie in the afternoon to pass the time away and then by evening I didn't know what to do.

So I decided to play a game of poker.

I deposited five pounds into my Blue Square account and entered a five dollar multi-table tournament with a six dollar guaranteed prizepool.

I played well.

For the first hour and a half.

I ended up finishing in two hundred and forty-fourth place. There were one thousand five hundred and one entrants so I didn't do too bad. The payout zone was for the top two hundred so I missed it by forty-four places.

My end came when I was running low on chips and had a pair of fours. I went all-in in an attempt to at least steal blinds. The small blind called my bet with 10 K.

The flop was; J Q A - he got a straight immediately.

It wasn't all bad news, though. With the remaining four dollars in my account I played a bit of Blackjack and managed to win back the buy-in for the tournament so I walked away breaking even.
