The Wii version of the Mario Kart franchise came out in Europe this morning and I managed to get a copy of it.
I pre-ordered with Game and it arrived at my house yesterday afternoon following a lot of concern on my part as the game was shipped out on Sunday and I thought it had been lost in transit as I never had the delivery within the two days I was guaranteed.
It was well worth the wait.
I played on it for hours yesterday, my Nephew was here for the day so we both played against users from around the world.
The majority of players were Japanese but there were a few European players who must have also received their copy before the release day. The North American release is in another two weeks so it will be interesting how long it will be until I see American and Canadian racers.
I have already become addicted to it. We were playing before our dinner and I couldn't get off it. I kept turning to Josh and saying, 'one more race'. I would then start a new race and repeat this process.
I started realising how stupid my 'one last race' promise was after an hour of doing it and then prompted him with an order.
The next time I say, 'One last race' just turn the Wii off for me.
And he did.
