The talk coming out of last night's TNA pay-per-view was the absence of Scott Hall in the main event.
Turning Point was set to feature Hall, Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe taking on the threesome of Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles and Tomko but throughout the show there was concern shown by the announcers that Scott Hall had still not shown up for his match.
As this is pro wrestling, I thought the worry over Scott Hall not being there was a wrestling angle and that he would show up in time. It's a well known fact that Hall is an addict and I thought the TNA writers were playing into this knowledge so fans really thought he was going to be a no-show. Unfortunately, this was no angle.
Hall let the company down. It's not the first time he has screwed up when given an opportunity. He had countless disciplinary issues during his times in the WWE and WCW related to alcohol and substance abuse
Before the match, Samoa Joe cut an interesting interview ripping on Hall's and other stars' unprofessionalism. Kevin Nash - who was Joe's partner and is best friends with Hall - looked really upset with the comments and you could tell how angry he was because he walked out immediately after the match instead of celebrating the win.
Things are not looking good for TNA. Joe did have a point in his shoot comments. There are a lot of former stars out there who are causing a lot of trouble for the company. The higher-ups need to realise this before it's too late.
Or maybe it already is.
