St David's Day

I was thinking of a story about St David's Day but nothing worth noting came to mind. Yet.

As a child I didn't care much for the day because it seemed a waste of time dresing up and having a half-day from school.

Today is a different story. I am proud to be Welsh but it seems the country is becoming lax in regards to celebrating the day.

The schools no longer end early on March 1st. I am not completely sure sure why this is - it must be to do with the change in times and philosophies.

I have finally managed to remember a story!

In infant school I was the main star in the Eistedfodd. The part I played was of a man who wanted to free his daughter from someone and had to enetrtain her captors into letting her go.

The entertainment came from all the classes who were brought out in turn and put on mini performances within the play.

I don't remember anything I had to say or do. All I recall is having to wear a woolly jumper, carry a walking stick and have a fake beard on that was put together using a coat hanger with fur attached!
