During the summer I took a bite of a Cadbury's chocolate bar and chipped a tooth. I just figured that it would be okay. How wrong I was!
Ever since then I had frequent pain. Sometimes it was so unbearable that I couldn't lift my left arm. But still - I fought on.
It was stupid. I was relieving the pain by buying paracetomols by the bucket loads in case the pain came back.
The terrible feeling would come for a few days then go away and then reappear out of the blue.I was also losing too much sleep. As I hardly sleep much as it is then this was a situation that needed to be resolved.
Unfortunately, I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years due to my other problems and they had scratched me off their list. This made me continue on with the pain as I had nowhere else to go but the hospital.
But - after getting only two hours sleep on Sunday night - I had enough.
I decided that I wanted to enjoy a pain-free end to the year so went to the dental hospital at eight o'clock this morning.
Six hours, yes, six hours later I was sitting in the chair and had the source of my pain extracted.
But it didn't end there!
While travelling home I started feeling faint. I don't know whether it was because of the amount of blood I lost, the dosage of the local anaesthetic or an anxiety attack It was a terrible feeling and I am still feeling dizzy at the moment as I sit here typing this.
I am sure it will wear off but at this moment in time I am thinking was it really worth it?!
