Punk'd

There will be one wrestler who I will be watching closely tonight during the 20th annual Survivor Series.

CM Punk.

The ECW wrestler will be making his first main event appearance as part of D-Generation X's team when they go up against the team captained by Edge and Randy Orton.

For the last few years Punk has been acclaimed by many hardcore wrestling fans who have watched him in the independant promotions across the USA.

He offers an interesting ethos with his 'straight edge' gimmick where he claims to be alcohol and drug free. His tattoo's are also unique - especially the logo of his favourite drink, Pepsi!

He is the underground wrestling fans darling and will have to prove them all right tonight when he has to mix it up with the upper echelon of the company.

There has been talk over the last few months that the star is set to become the number two babyface on the ECW roster so tonight's event as well as next week's ECW pay-per-view will be the opportunity to move him to the top of the company.

Will he succeed? We are all conditioned to see how things happen over time.

And Punk's time is now.
