Fluct Off

I am 'fluct off'.

State of Play did win the race this afternoon which gave me some extra points towards the Gambling God competition.

The problem I encountered, though, is fluctuation.

When I placed the bet the horse had dropped from 8/1 when I saw it's odds yesterday morning into 5/1 so I made the bet when it was dropping. Within an hour of emailing my selection the horse had gone up to 6/1. At the start of the race he was 10/1.

So, I could have made double the amount of points from the race but played it safe by taking the odds at the time of the bet.
