One of the most upsetting things about the recent issue of Inside Edge was the letter I received when the issue arrived.
It was from the publisher of the magazine who told me that as from January 2007 the magazine will be totally about poker.
When I first bought the magazine in December 2004 the majority of the coverage was on sports betting. It educated me to think more on what I was doing and has made me a better judge of odds and the form. I learnt there is more to just thinking that something is going to win.
In the summer of this year the magazine changed its format and poker became the main thing in there with a small amount of sports betting coverage.
Now, they have made the ultimate decision to do away with the balance and have it centred entirely on poker.
As you all know, I enjoy poker and it shouldn't really be a problem. But it is. I subscribe to three magazines; Poker Player, World Poker Tour magazine and Inside Edge. I now feel that one of these titles has to go as it seems ridiculous buying three magazines from the same genre.
Inside Edge has been a great read over the last two years but the time may be coming to end my subscription.
