I must have garnered a reputation in the online poker scene.
The reason why I have arrived at this conclusion is I was at a table this evening and got into a dispute with another player about how he played his hand.
He beat me and I complained. His response was to say to me 'have you got any fishy tales, equinoxx?' This led me to assume that he must have been playing at another site where I got lucky a few times.
I admit I have been flukey on a few hands on occasion but calling me a 'fish' is not on.
A fish is a player that continues playing when he is losing the hand and then hits something on the river.
Last night I was playing in the Inside Edge magazine's freeroll and my A6 went up against an ace with a higher kicker. I ended up hitting another two sixes on the turn and river cards.
Yes, I got lucky. But a fish? No.
I was losing chips at a rapid rate so needed to make a move. A6 suited was worthy of a bet especially when I was in a sink or swim situation.
A fish wouldn't even be thinking about sinking!
