Domination

After losing in the Canadian Open last night I decided I would have another go at qualifying for the William Hill Grand Prix and entered the £14 satellite to next week's final.

There were thirteen entries and after a while it whittled down to ten and I made it to the final table. My fourth final table finish on Willian Hill Poker in succession!

If I could sum up the final table in one word it would be 'Domination'. I knocked four players out in rapid succession and then decided to tighten up to ensure I made it to the final two.

My plan worked as, within half an hour, I was heads-up with 9,000 chips against the other player with 5,000.

I didn't take advantage of my chip leadership. He ended up dominating me and I ended up finishing in second place after my straight went up against his flush.

I walked away with £38 but the final is still missing my grasp by inches.
