Moonwalking

I was thinking about Joe Pesci this morning and a thought crossed my mind. I was unsure whether he played the bad guy in Michael Jackson's movie Moonwalker. In order to set my mind to rest I went on to the Internet Movie Databse and checked at the cast listings.

There he was. Joe Pesci as Mr Big.

About ten minutes later I was getting ready for work and was browsing through the newspaper. I usually have a look at the horse races of the day to see whether any names stood out.

And there was one.

A horse named Moonwalking was racing in the 2:30 at Newcastle.

I came back upstairs and looked at the odds and it was 20/1 so I didn't have faith in it getting anywhere but I had to have a flutter on it. It was spooky that I had been thinking of the movie moments before I read the race listings.

I placed a £1 each way bet on the horse and then went to work. One of the things I thought about when travelling in was about a line I could have to end tonight's blog when the horse lost for me. I was going to finish up the entry with something along the lines of; 'I guess the horse must have been attempting to moon walk'.

Once I arrived home I checked the results and it had finished in second place.

I made £3 profit but lost the opportunity to end this blog with a witty sentence.
