Double Royal

I was playing a game of Ladbrokes Ladders and ended up getting knocked out by a royal flush!

It was the first time since early 2005 that I saw a royal flush. The last time I saw one was when I won a hand with it when I was learning the game.

After leaving the game in ninth place I decided to join a money table and waste the remaining $8 I had in my account. I was playing for about half an hour when one of the players at my table won a hand with another royal flush.

I wasn't as shocked seeing it the second time in a day and I typed 'That's the second time I saw one of them tonight.'

Then, one of the other players at the table informed the hand winner that he should inform the poker room manager on the site and they pay $200 to the hand winner plus they share another $100 to the other players at the table.

All good huh?

Well - it sounds great but I just checked the terms and conditions and these royal flushes have to have been hit between 2000 and 2300 BST. Our table had a royal flush a few minutes after 11 so we missed out on getting an incentive for playing at that table.

And to top it off, I lost the $8.
