Freaky Friday

I had an odd day.

I spent the majority of it reading in the garden and ended up getting burnt. Add to that my hayfever medication didn't work as well as it had done in recent years and I have been itching my arms and eyes all evening.

It has also had its share of betting surprises.

I promised I would never mention Big Brother but after discussing it with someone I know online he thought that Sezer would remian in the house despite the masses of fans despising him. I looked up the odds on Betfair.com and decided the best solution would be to bet against the percentage of the evictee's votes being over 80%. I figured that because the main portion of voters were young girls they would be more keen to vote against the woman or a gay man so was hoping that the amount of votes would balance out and Sezar would be evicted with less than the eighty.

I was wrong. He got over 90%!

But that's not all.

In the December issue of Inside Edge magazine suggested doing a Lucky 15 on four major horse races in 2006. I did the bet and remembered that the third and fourth races in the bet were this week. I had lost the previous two so wasn't holding out much hope for the Derby and Oaks.

I logged into my Bet365 account this evening and there was £25 in there. It then dawned on me that Alexandrova had won the Vodafone Oaks. Tomorrow I have Pescatorio in the Derby but I have just found out he isn't running.

Ironically, the favourite to win tomorrow is Horatio Nelson which was the magazines pick to win the 2000 Guineas in the first bet of the four.
