Going To The Well

I went to the well far too many times tonight.

I was playing the $10 rebuy tournament on Bet365 that was part of the PokerZone TV channel. There were 79 entrants and by the first two hours I was in the upper tier of the positional list. The first ten players were paid with the first place gerring $400.

Near the end of the game I was beginning to lose chips through the blinds and needed to double up here and there so began raising with high cards in the hope of stealing some of the blinds

I had A J so went all-in. Nobody called me so I took the antes. Then the hand after that I was dealt Ace and Ten and thought I would try stealing again. I wasn't contested and built up my chip count. The hand after this was also a high one albeit with a lower kicker as I had A 8 suited. This time the big blind called my all-in raise with his pair of Aces and I was ejected from the game in 15th place missing out a payout by five places.
