Foley Is Good

One of the things I am looking forward to most at Wrestlemania on April 2nd is the return to the ring of Mick Foley.

Foley, under his many wrestling personas, has been one of my favourite wrestlers over the years and will step back in to the ring to face Edge in a hardcore match.

In the ring Mick Foley is a maniac who will go through endless amounts of pain to put on a good show for the fans. Hell, even as an author which is what he has spent his retired years being, he has shown signs of madness with his characters having sadistic sides to their personalities.

But from reading Foley's blog you can tell he is a caring person. In his recent trip to the Phillipines he mentioned how he visited the young girl he sponsors and how her family were able to spend time away from their lives of poverty and enjoy first of a lifetime things like travelling on an aeroplane, going to the cinema and attending a live WWE event.

It is not just people from poorer countries that have experienced the generosity of Mr. Foley.

As a child I would often write letters to some of my heroes in the wrestling business but would never get a response. I could run down a list of names of people who had ignored my letters but it didn't stop me sending Mick a letter in 2004. I didn't expect a reply but the man came through for me.

There are only two words fitting to end this entry.

BANG! BANG!
