A Call From The Gods

I was emailed from Paul Cheung today.

'Who?' I hear you say.

He is one of the writers of Inside Edge magazine and is in charge of the competition called Gambling God 2006.

Each month six readers are picked to spend a fantasy allowance of 20 points on certain betting events and then the profit and loss is tallied up and placed in a leader board.

I was picked to play during April and was given the list of events I am to bet on. To say I am a little put off is a vast understatement as I have been asked to bet on sports that I have either no knowledge or interest in such as cricket, golf and motorcycling.

It does have the Grand National on there so I am going to attempt to do some each way betting using the alloted 5 points an event.

The top six on the leader board in December face off in the final and the top prize is a trip to the four days at next year's Cheltenham Festival, second prize is a pair of tickets to the FA Cup final at the new Wembley (if those builders pull their socks up that is!!) and the bronze prize is £150 worth of free bets.

I will see you at Cheltenham.
