My spreadsheet finally had a decent week, when it came to picking winners of the Thursday Night Football games.
It had gone 0-5 since going 2-0 on the opening night of the season. Yet - with last night's game - it had a mild rebound by picking both the pointspread and total results nearly spot on.
The sheet picked Tampa Bay to win by six points. Therefore, the play was to gamble on Philadelphia +6.5. It was perfect because the Bucs did indeed win the game by six because the scoreline was 28-22 to the champions.
Fifty-two total points was the projection in the Over/Under. So, the recommended play was Under 52.5 and that too came in.
Realistically - it barely won on both sides. But - a win is a win.
And losses are losses. 4-5 is still an abysmal record and there is no guarantee that this is the start of a turnaround. Yet - with that said - I am glad it has rebounded following the last month.
I didn't even bet on these games, but feel like I have because I was starting to lose faith in my spreadsheet this season.
