Costa Going?

It looks like Diego Costa's days at Chelsea are numbered after it was reported yesterday that the team's boss - Antonio Conte - informed the player that they have no plans for him moving forward.

Such a shame, to be fair.

Costa is a controversial figure, but I have enjoyed following him in the Premier League. I especially enjoyed the two seasons when I backed him to be the top goalscorer. He ended up winning me £2 free bets every time the ball hit the back of the net.

Unfortunately, I decided to avoid backing Costa last season. With a new manager, I wasn't sure if Costa would find a role with Conte and move on during the January transfer window - or earlier - so I thought it best not to take the gamble.

Hindsight is a great thing. I should have placed the bet last year. However, I was right. Sort of. Costa doesn't fit what Conte wants to do at the club. It's just that I was a year ahead of the boss!

I kid.

Costa is too good to let go, in my opinion. He'll be missed.
