Carrie Fisher

I was sorry to hear that Carrie Fisher passed away yesterday after suffering a heart attack a number of days ago.

I read her latest autobiography - The Princess Diarist - earlier this month and, in it, she mentioned how she would be approached by people who claimed that they were her first crush.

After reading that short part of the book, I started thinking to my film crushes on an actress and the journey led  as far back as Carrie Fisher. Or rather I had a crush on the Star Wars character of Princess Leia. Either way, she gets the credit!

It was fun seeing her reprise her role as Leia recently. As far as I am aware, the next installment of Star Wars has already wrapped, so - in Episode VIII - we'll get to see Leia/Carrie Fisher for one last time.
