Game Day

It's the big day.

The New England Patriots versus the Seattle Seahawks for all the marbles.

The system that I use to bet on American football has the Pats winning. For the first time this season, I'm hoping it's wrong.

Last season, it had Seattle defeating Denver and we all saw what happened there.

I am not keen on Seattle and despise New England with a passion, so it's going to be one of those games where I just sit back and try and enjoy it knowing that it's going to be a very long time before I get to see another game.

A Seattle win would make for a great story. Last year's winners defending their championship to the last team that won back-to-back Super Bowls.

On the other side of the coin, I suppose the last back-to-back champions preventing another team from recording a similar achievement is just as good a narrative.

I've joked with friends and family that I really should be cheering the referees.

I guess it's win-win for me, to be fair. If the Pats end up victorious, my system wins.

And if it's Seattle - the long road to September isn't going to be as brutal.
