Reaction To The Game

And there we have it. The New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions for the 2014 season.

Damn.

I detest the team with such a passion, but credit where credit is due.

It was a very close game with twists and turns along the way. I didn't place any bets on the game in the lead-in to it. I had a feeling New England would win and tipped them as the play on my American football betting website.

When the Patriots were ten points down, I decided to check on the in-play price. They were 9/2 to win, so I put two pound on.

A nice end to the season of betting. And it was a good season for yours truly. I finished off in profit for the first time in a few years so that was good. I only keep score of how I do in football and American football betting. I had a big win in another sport, but that story can wait until February 13th.

So, now I have to go through the end of season blues that ALWAYS clouds me in the weeks and months following the denouement of the Super Bowl.

One thing I am looking forward to is getting my Sunday nights back. I don't think I have gone to bed earlier than 1am since August. I say that now - in a few days I'll be clamouring for Sunday Night Football!
