Covering The Coverage

I spent all of Friday afternoon and evening following everything that is going down in Boston.

As I type this, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still at large and the news channels are rolling out people who apparently knew him.

Is it me or is the 'I didn't think he was the kind of guy to do something like this?' thing so cliche?

I shouldn't complain, though. There was at least two occasions during my viewing of CNN when they interviewed 'friends' of his who didn't know him that well.

Another thing that is unsettling when news like this is a priority is the fact that the victims of the bombings and of the shooting on Friday morning seem to have been put to the back as all the attention is placed on the culprits.

With a bit of luck, he'll be brought to justice soon enough. Unfortunately, I get the feeling this will end with him taking the easy way out.
