Sheamus became the King of the Ring on WWE Raw this past Monday night.
I guess the reason behind the victory was so he can segue back into a feud with Triple H once the 'King of Kings' returns.
The crown is usually won by people on the way up the ladder. As Sheamus has already been WWE World Champion, I was expecting Alberto Del Rio the victor.
Del Rio's gimmick is of a person from Mexican royalty so it would have been plausible, from a storyline perspective, to have him win the tournament.
