National Lottery Christmas Countdown 2025: The Result

I'm sat at my laptop with the National Lottery Advent scratch card beside me. I'm giving it one last look over before I throw it away with the used Christmas wrapping paper and other remnants from Christmas past.

Yes - it's a loser.

As usual, I scratched off each window on a daily basis in the lead-in to Christmas. I was unable to match two identical symbols under one window to win that day's prize. That is despite promising those who would listen that the card pinned to my door was one of the five £1 Million jackpot winners that were released into the wild by the National Lottery during the early autumn.

As of the time of writing, only two of the five jackpot-winning cards have been claimed. I'm quite surprised by that. 

Even though I came up short in 2025, I look forward to seeing the Advent card the lottery firm brings out for us next Christmas. As usual, my hunt for those cards will begin around September.

Until then, this one is off to recycling.
