It was a no-brainer when it came time for me to choose which socks I'd wear today.
I picked the sandy-coloured pair with a selection of Gizmos from the Gremlins movie franchise on them.
There's a good reason why.
Warner Bros. yesterday confirmed that a third Gremlins film will be released in a couple of years.
The sequel will be directed by Chris Columbus - who wrote the screenplay for the original. Also on board is Steven Spielberg, who will serve as producer.
In mid-January, I wrote a post when there was speculation about a potential Gremlins III and second Goonies movie. Well, we now know one of those movies is set to be made. As of right now, nothing else has been said about The Goonies II, but that is also a Columbus/Spielberg product. Well, the first one is.
As for Gremlins 3 - one of my main hopes is that the effects are not going to be too CGI focused and the work will be similar to the original film of 1984. And, I suppose, its sequel from 1990.
Gremlins 3 is scheduled for release on November 19 2027.
