It is not surprising to see so many people turn out for this. After all, Hatton had an army of fans travel over to Las Vegas for his fights. I'm not talking about fans with tickets for the fight, people came just to be part of the Vegas atmosphere.
The public loved him. It showed then. It shows now. Today.
The above photograph shows the stop outside a building which was once the pub Hatton's parents ran. They released boxes of doves at that point.
Manchester Cathedral is where the cortege will make a stop for Hatton's service. It'll start at midday. Once the private ceremony is over, the procession will continue to Etihad Stadium - home of Hatton's favourite team: Manchester City - where Hatton will take a lap of honour.
Fittingly, the coffin is sky blue. Manchester City's colours.
