Booker Prize 2025 Longlist Revealed

The 2025 Booker Prize Longlist has been confirmed.

I received the email containing the thirteen titles (AKA The Booker Dozen) a little over an hour ago. The contenders are:

  • Love Forms by Claire Adam
  • The South by Tash Aw
  • Universality by Natasha Brown
  • One Boat by Jonathan Buckley
  • Flashlight by Susan Choi
  • The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai
  • Audition by Katie Kitamura
  • The Rest of Our Lives by Ben Markovits
  • The Land in Winter by Andrew Miller
  • Endling by Maria Reva
  • Flesh by David Szalay
  • Seascraper by Benjamin Wood
  • Misinterpretation by Leddia Xhoga
Those books will be whittled down to six by Tuesday 23 September when the shortlist will be announced at a live event at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London. That'll be the first time a shortlist reveal will be done in such a manner.

The winner of the 2025 Booker Prize will be announced at Old Billingsgate in London on Monday 10 November.

I'm eager to see which books make it to the shortlist. As of right now, I am still planning to do another Booker Prize Marathon.
