Crossover Special Planned

In yesterday's news, I read that ITV is planning to do a special episode in its soap opera block which will see characters from Coronation Street and Emmerdale in a crossover.

That's quite a fun idea, to be fair. I once read a quirky article in which someone fantasy-scripted Home and Away's Donald Fisher into a scene from Neighbours. I cannot recall who the writer had from Neighbours moving in the opposite direction, but it made me think of a British take on that idea.

The hour-long special is to coincide with the soap opera TV schedules changing in early 2026.
