What a good bit of business WWE did last night at the Elimination Chamber.
After winning the Chamber match - and setting up a title challenge against Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania - John Cena turned on the titleholder.
It was the first time Cena has been a heel in well over twenty years.
To get there, WWE had an angle which saw The Rock propose to Cody Rhodes. Dwayne Johnson wanted Cody to become his protege. Cody had until last night to say 'Yay' or 'Nay'.
He told Rock 'go f**k yourself'.
Cena, who was there for the segment - because it was immediately after he won the Elimination Chamber match - then hugged Cody and, as he did so, the camera caught The Rock motion to Cena with a slit throat gesture.
It was a prompt which led to Cena kicking Cody Rhodes in the balls and then led to a beatdown of the Undisputed WWE Champion.
It was gutsy to have John Cena turn heel in what is being billed as his final year as a pro wrestler.
