Neighbours Going Again?

It looks like Neighbours is done for. Again.

According to reports, Amazon has informed the Australian soap's production company - Fremantle - that it can no longer fund the series thus ending any negotiations which may have been going on between the partners to extend a two-year deal.

Amazon had saved Neighbours after it was cancelled by Channel 5 in the UK. 

I thought the return has been excellent. I'm sorry to see it go (again). However, I am not surprised by the news. I sensed the partnership would conclude and even speculated as such in this post from January 1st.

I hope there's a saviour of some kind.
