I found out over the weekend that Hunter Q Robbins III had passed away.
There are a couple of odds stories I have about me and pro wrestling which includes Robbin III. Randomly.
For starters - back in 1994, the very first wrestling tape I bought from a video tape trader on the underground wrestling fan scene was a compilation of Sabu matches.
The Best of Sabu Volume 1 opens with the clip of Hunter Q Robbins III introducing Sabu to the viewers of Eastern Championship Wrestling (which would later become Extreme Championship Wrestling).
Silly old me thought Hunter Q Robbins III was the person who sold me the tape! It took me a moment or two to realise the video was taken from ECW TV.
The second story I have of the short-lived wrestling personality isn't really my tale to tell. However, I'll share it.
A person I used to know online once told me that he met Hunter Q Robbins III in a supermarket somewhere in New Jersey. This was a long time after Robbins III had left the wrestling business.
It appears as though Robbins III, under his real name Robin Hunt, had a career in film following his spell in professional wrestling.
