A Festive Shake

I made a unique milkshake with my Ninja Power Nutri Blender a few days ago.

The blender comes with a small book with a selection of ideas for the owner to try out. One of the recipes is for an Oreo biscuit milkshake.

I made one earlier this year for my birthday, but I thought I'd try out my own rendition for the Holidays.

To start off, I added 200ml of whole milk to the cup.

I then added eight Oreo cookies (as the recipe recommends). Yes, they aren't regular Oreos. Keep on reading for the big reveal at the end.

The Ninja pamphlet then calls for ice cream to be added to the cup.

Here's the ice cream I chose:

Carte D'Or Baileys Ice Cream

I noticed that Carte D'Or has produced an ice cream which has a flavour of Baileys Irish Cream. I thought it would keep with the festive theme to add to the shake rather than a regular vanilla.

I kept to the guideline from the book and used the 'Blend' function to make the drink.

Once that was done, I tasted it and was amazed at what I had created. It tasted incredibly festive.

It's at this point, I should share with you the actual Oreo cookies I used for this experiment.

Oreo Gingerbread

Gingerbread flavour! I believe I purchased these from Poundland a little over a month ago. I haven't seen them at other shops or supermarkets as of the time of writing.

The gingerbread taste was the most predominant in the milkshake. I did get a very slight hint of Baileys, but the gingerbread won out

I came away quite impressed with myself. It's not something I'll be able to make all the time because I surmise both the ice cream and cookies are seasonal exclusives.
