I came across a couple of news items about future movie sequels within the past day.
The first story stated that Lethal Weapon 5 has been given the green light and it'll see Mel Gibson direct.
Story two. Well, that one made me shake my head. Vigorously.
There is going to be a Spaceballs 2.
Another Mel: this time, Brooks, will produce the Star Wars parody he made famous in 1987.
Brooks is 97, so - I suppose - I should applaud the fact he is involved with the project.
With that said, can you really do a Spaceballs sequel without the late John Candy and the retired Rick Moranis?
I say no.
Pass!
In similar news - Beverly Hills Cop IV will be with us very soon. July 3rd in fact. Now, that is something I am looking forward to.
I might live to regret it, but I am on board for the returns of Axel Foley, Billy Rosewood, John Taggart and Serge.
