Yesterday's Result

I liked yesterday's result in the FA Cup Final.

Manchester United went 2-0 up in the first half. Their rivals - Manchester City - pulled one back late in the second-half, but it was not enough.

I like it when there's an underdog win. I know it's still questionable to refer to United as 'underdogs', but they certainly are whenever they're up against their local foes. 

In today's era of football, of course.

There has been increasing speculation that United's boss - Erik ten Hag - will be sacked now. This despite winning the cup. 

I had guessed he 'will not be Manchester United manager by December 31 2024' in my preview of this year which was posted on January 1st. 

Coming off yesterday's win, I don't think they should get rid. The club did the same thing to another Dutchman in Louis Van Gaal (one of my favourite managers ever!) when his United team won the cup eight years ago.
