As you can see, in the image above, the headline reads 'Emmerdale star heartbreakingly splits with boyfriend after whirlwind romance'.
I clicked on the link to see if it's a story about an Emmerdale star I remember from the times I've watched the soap opera.
What I was met with was an article about a bloody Emmerdale storyline in which one of the characters has broken off a relationship with another character.
Using the term 'Emmerdale star' in the headline blurred the line between fiction with reality. Whoever wrote the header did so to drive clicks by subterfuge.
I was a sucker. I fell for it hook, line and sinker.
