Eggs

I had a Cadbury's Caramel egg this afternoon.

I have one (or more!) every Easter. In my opinion, they're a inch or two better than Cadbury's Creme Egg on the scale.

The reason why I chose this year to write about them is because, as I munched on today's egg, it made me recall another Easter memory of my aunt, who passed away earlier this year.

Back in the early 1990's, Rolo eggs were released. However, it was impossible to find them in the places where we shopped here in Cardiff.

Everyone I knew - who had tried them - would go on about how nice they were.

Well, we finally got them courtesy of my aunt when we were staying with her family in England for the Easter holiday in 1991.

I found a picture on Pinterest of an advert from when the eggs launched in that year.

Unfortunately, we don't get to see them around anymore.

I have tried looking online, but the only acknowledgement of their previous existence is from the aforementioned Pinterest image.

As already alluded to above, a Cadbury Caramel egg is an adequate substitute.
