My first thought - 'Yes! A snow game!' Because I love watching snow games from the comfort of my warm home.
Then, it hit me.
The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes is the starting quarterback in my fantasy team. I thought about it for a few seconds and concluded I would bench him in favour of the Jaquars' QB - Trevor Lawrence - who was set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers.
By the time of the Chiefs .vs. Broncos game, the Jaguars had beaten the Steelers by a score of 20-10 with Lawrence picking up 14.68 points for my team.
The Broncos game wasn't snowy at all. Everything seemed to have cleared up by kick off. Therefore, I wondered whether I had made a mistake by placing Mahomes off the bench.
My pre-emptive strike did not backfire on me. The home team upset the Chiefs with a score of twenty-four to nine.
As for Mahomes? Well, his fantasy score was 5.64.
My team picked up a total of 175.58 points. My opponent's squad of players has accrued 118.06, but it still has one player left to take the field.
If I've calculated this correctly: Josh Jacobs, the running back of the Las Vegas Raiders, has to score 57.53 fantasy points tonight to stop me from going 4-4 on the season.
I think it's safe to say I'm going to take the W.
