TMZ reports that Rotunda had recently been in hospital for the heart issue that ultimately killed him. He had been given an external defibrillator to wear in case of a heart attack.
On the day he passed, the wrestler went for a nap and didn't wake up. The defibrillator was eventually found left inside Rotunda's car.
He could have obviously had a fighting chance of surviving the heart attack had he been wearing the device.
That makes this situation even more tragic, in my opinion.
