The Big Dog Finishes Fifth

If you read yesterday's post, you'll be aware that I had backed The Big Dog to win the 2023 Grand National.

The horse did okay, to be fair. It was at the front few for most of the race, mainly in third spot, but - by the end - it had fallen back a bit. 

Fifth was its final position. That was good for me because I had an each-way gamble - at odds of 14/1 - and the bookie paid out to eight places.

The winning horse was Corach Rambler - an 8/1 favourite.
