A Few Words About HHH's Retirement

I haven't given myself a chance to write a blog post about Triple H announcing that his in-ring days are over following last year's emergency concerning his heart.

People have been noting their favourite Triple H moment. I'd only be repeating myself, but I have to go with his winning of the 2002 Royal Rumble as the most memorable thing I like.

I wrote about it at the start of the year. It was the day when a bet I placed on Hunter paid off.

As for his time in D-Generation X - well, I really enjoyed that faction when it first started in 1997. I kind of started to cool on it by the end of 1998, though.

I was not keen on the reunion when it was just HHH and Shawn Michaels in the mid-to-late 2000s. It had a really short shelf-life.

So, yeah - the best moment for me was the early 2002 return from injury which started with that monster reaction at the Monday Night Raw from Madison Square Garden leading to his Rumble victory shortly afterwards.

Those were good times.
