The Final Day Of September 2020

It's the last day of September.

The final day of what should be my favourite month of the year.

I wrote 'should be', because - as I guessed - it turned out to be a wash because of everything to do with the pandemic.

'Wash' isn't the word I should have used to describe September 2020, though. Why? Because the weather was pretty decent if I say so myself. Sure, there was the occasional day of rain. Other than that, I thought it was great.

There was also one of the main reasons why I love September and that's the return of American football.

I had trepidations about looking forward to football coming back because I was - (I still am) - worried about the league and the threat of Coronavirus.

My fears kind of came true yesterday when I read that the Tennessee Titans have had people test positive for Covid. As a result, the Titans - as well as the Minnesota Vikings, who played Tennessee in week three - have halted operations for the time being.

Yesterday's news was the only blemish I had about football returning. It has been fun watching the games again.

Goodbye September 2020. I hope September 2021 is better!
