Leagues Return For 20/21

The Premier League and EFL released their fixture lists for the 2020/21 season this week.

All of the leagues will kick off on September 12th. In usual times, it's the EFL that starts first with the Premier League starting its season a week later.

We aren't living in usual times, though.

Another thing that I noticed is the FA - for the upcoming season - has done away with replays in the FA Cup matches. Therefore, if a game is a draw at full-time, it will go into extra time, and potentially penalties, rather than having a replay a few days later at the visiting team's home ground.

This kind of scenario was lucrative for lower league teams that played the top clubs, so - even though I can understand why it has been done - I still feel it's harsh.

Back to September 12th - it's going to be an interesting weekend as the NFL season starts that week as well.
