When Royal Mail stamped the letter at its Chester and North Wales office, it did so with a special Jack Charlton tribute.
It came in the way of a printed football with Charlton's name above it. In the spot below the ball is '1935-2020'.
Charlton passed away last month. I wrote a little bit about him, and a period when he managed the Irish football team at the Italia '90 World Cup, in this post.
As for the tribute from the sorting office - very nice.
