In what has been a tradition on this very blog, I have predicted the upcoming NFL season's Thursday night season opener. This year, however, I am unable to do this.
I would have been wrong, anyway.
What usually happens is the previous Super Bowl winners play at home against one of the teams on its schedule. I usually take a look at the teams they are set to face in the upcoming year and make a guess.
This year is the 100th NFL season, so - to honour the milestone - the first game of the year will be Green Bay versus Chicago.
Those teams have been picked because they're the oldest in the league and have a strong rivalry.
Sounds good to me!
