An Eventually Disappointing Product

A couple of years ago, I had a set of Marmitek HDTV Anywhere. It was great. While it lasted.

The product allows you to watch HD TV from one source in a different room of your house. Unlike some video senders that transmit the image via a wireless signal, these things used the electric circuit in my home via special plugs. I guess it's similar to Internet homeplugs.

Anyway, I only used these things to watch NFL games on a Sunday. For the rest of the year, they were put away...

..actually, there was probably ONE episode of WWE Smackdown I used them for as well, but let's get back to the story...

...as I said, I started using them in 2016. As of the time of writing - 2018 - the set has broken. Never to serve me again.

I was really happy with these things when I had them. However, they are very expensive to replace and I am reluctantly going to have to pass when considering buying some more. The main reason being the time they worked.

If you count it all up, I only managed to get 40 or 50 days out of them. That's not good enough when you've paid close to £260 for them.

Thankfully, the Sky Sports app has been an aid for the Sunday games. I'll be using it tomorrow night for at least two of the Thanksgiving matches. It isn't a perfect setup, but it'll have to do.
