The Day Has Arrived

The big day is finally here.

No, not my birthday. It's something bigger than that going on tonight.

It's the fight I have been wanting to take place for years.

Floyd Mayweather .vs. Manny Pacquaio!

This is going to be boxing's biggest match in history, so I'm definitely going to stay up late watching it.

As for how I think it will go - I have this feeling it'll either end with Mayweather winning in rounds six or seven or - failing that - it'll end up going to the scorecards.

I cannot see Pacquaio being victorious at all.

A draw would be crazy. As I think of the possibility of this result, I get a flashback of the Lennox Lewis versus Evander Holyfield fight from early 1999 which was one-sided in favour of Lewis but ended up in a tie. It opened the way for a rematch.

I'm not buying into any conspiracy to milk a rematch out of Mayweather and Pacquaio. However, if things do end up even tonight, I doubt I'll be as shocked as I was back in the late '90's.

Looking forward to this one.

If you're looking to bet on the fight, there are lots of bookmaker deals out there. I wrote about some over at
