May 2nd 2015

I woke up yesterday morning not only to my birthday but to the news that the Duchess of Cambridge had gone into labour.

My initial thought - YES!

Why? I guess you're asking.

Well, the degenerate bettor in me thought it would be cool to have a bet on the royal baby to be born on my birthday. The odds were a really cool 33/1, so I placed one pound on it.

Yes, a pound. Not that much of a degenerate after all.

It was a nice start to the morning. Probably the best start since waking up four years ago when it was announced that a certain person had been 'compromised to a permanent end'.

I spent the close of the day - and the early start of May 3rd getting ready for the Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquaio fight.

I managed to get a few hours sleep and woke up well in time for the opening bell.

In my opinion, it was always going to be like that. The unfortunate part of all of this is it was a few years too late for us, but an opportune time for the fighters as it meant the anticipation had led to a huge payday.

And that's really what it was all about.

The moolah.

I'm glad Mayweather won.

With that said, I hope there isn't going to be a rematch. Not that I am concerned Pacquaio has a chance of winning.

Once was enough.
