Brock Is Playing Games

Brock Lesnar is playing games.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion and his current employers apparently had an impasse on a new contract a week ago. So, what does he do?

The only thing an upcoming free agent can do, I suppose.

The wrestler found himself sat cageside during an Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was there with UFC president, Dana White,  and the company owner - Lorenzo Fertitta.

There had been speculation that Lesnar was considering a return to the UFC once his WWE deal expires on the night after WrestleMania XXXI, so him playing the two sides off against one another is not that shocking.

And it's not the first time, either.

He pulled off something similar two years ago when his one-year WWE deal after leaving UFC was due. Back then, he got a two year extension.

It's a slightly different ball game now, though.

The pay-per-view landscape has changed dramatically with the WWE Network now another avenue for fans to watch events. Most importantly - it's at a reduced cost meaning Lesnar's price might not look as good on the books as it did in 2013.

With that said, he's a concrete draw. In my opinion, WWE should try and extend the deal again.

We'll get a better idea what's going down as this month turns into April. I sense we're in for a few more twists and turns over next four weeks.
