A few years ago, there was a story circulating that suggested that Vince McMahon intended to purchase Newcastle United Football Club. The tall tale resurfaced this week.
Firstly, let's be clear on this. There is - to steal a quote from a certain person - no chance in hell that this will ever happen.
All I can think of is that it was a slow news day somewhere and the snowball effect occurred.
I used to follow Newcastle United until Mike Ashley's involvement soured me on it. Trust me, I would love someone like Vince McMahon to take over. With that said, McMahon probably isn't the best person to run a football club. A look at his ventures outside of professional wrestling is a testament to that.
Still - like I have already addressed above. It's not going to happen so I'm not going to waste another moment even daydreaming about it.
