Alberto Del Rio will win the World Championship on this Friday's edition of Smackdown.
No, it's not a prediction by yours truly. It's fact. For those who don't know (and I'm guessing that's not many of you), Smackdown is a pretaped show.
In this week's episode, Del Rio will defeat The Big Show in a last man standing match.
I'm unsure what this means for the future plans.
I was anticipating a bout between Big Show and Ryback at WrestleMania with the belt on the line. It's looking like my fantasy booking was just that.
This will be the first time Del Rio will be a holder of a WWE world title as a babyface. It will be interesting to see how the fans take to him now that he is the current top guy on the Smackdown brand.
In the meantime, I'm going to head back to the drawing board in guessing who will challenge for the world championship at Mania.
